Organization Plus Celebrates 25 Years of Organizing Excellence
October 28 is the
official start of celebrating our 25th anniversary year.
When
I started Organization Plus in October 1983, I felt like I was a true pioneer in
the organizing industry - and I was.
There were only about
two dozen Professional Organizers in the entire United States, with 99%
of them in located in California.
"You Do What?"
In those early days,
when I told people that I was a Professional Organizer, their response was, "You
do what?"
I was determined to
educate people so they would understand the benefits of using the services of a
Professional Organizer, just as they understood the benefits of having an
Accountant and an Attorney.
Initially, most
Organization Plus clients were individuals who needed help
de-cluttering their
homes. As I became more active in business networking groups, a new set of
clients began to recognize the importance of having an organized office and the
value of getting professional advice on planning their time.
Expertise,
experience, and the ability to keep up with cutting-edge organizing products and
techniques allows me to provide my clients’ exactly what they need. It also
makes me different from 99% of my competition.
Today, I specialize
in organizing offices for clients ranging from home-based Sole Proprietors to Corporate
Executives atop Boston high-rises. And because it is such an integral part of
being organized, I also help clients with
time management strategies.
In 25 years, a lot of
things have changed and I expect they will continue to change.
When I found that
many of my clients had spent hundreds of dollars on organizing products that
just didn’t work for them, it was time to guide my clients
to the products that
do work.
Technology has also
changed how I work and
telephone consultations
work very well and are more
popular than ever.
What makes me feel
the most successful?
When I've worked with
someone and taught them to appreciate the value of having a more organized
lifestyle and when they call me and tell me the work we've done together
has changed their life!

Organizing Tip of the
Month
Day Light Savings
Time ends on November 4, 2007. Mark your calendar and change your clocks back
one-hour (remember: "fall back" and "spring forward").
I also suggest to my
clients that they use Day Light Savings time as a time to check or change the batteries
in their home fire detection/alarm equipment.
