Tips To Help You Get Organized This Summer
Have less stress and more
time for fun this summer!
Here are some of my
favorite organizing tips that will help you get off to a good start
whether you going to a sports activity, the beach, day trip, or away
on vacation.
For Sports Activities
Keep equipment for each sport in one place or container. i.e.
Golf bag or kids’ soccer bag.
For the Beach
Have bag packed with beach towel, sun screen, wet-wipes, tissues
& first aid kit.
Have kids pack their pails and shovels, beach balls etc. (Mesh
draw-string bags are light and easy for kids to carry and allow
sand and water to drain off of toys.)
For
Traveling by Car
Have car tuned up.
Map out your trip. (AAA provides great maps and trip-ticks
free.)
Plan where and when you will stop. Make reservations ahead.
Have kids pack their own activity bag. Even a 2 year old can
choose their toys or books.
Pack snacks and drinks. You’ll save lots of money.
For Escape Weekends
Have a travel kit ready to go with toothbrush, toothpaste,
shampoo, shaving cream, aspirins, bug bite spay, sun-burn spray
(hopefully, you won’t need it) and other cosmetic items that you
use.
Carry prescriptions and extra eyeglasses with you. Never pack
prescriptions in luggage that you are checking.
Check out the Internet for last minute travel bargains and
information on places to stay and things to do.
In words from the song
"Summertime" from Porgy and Bess are “Summertime when the
living is easy…” Make your summer time living easy by
getting organized so that you can do what you REALLY want to do.
